“Grill & Pork” continues to be one of our main initiatives, showcasing pork as an excellent grilling option due to its versatility, flavor, and price. During ExpoCarnes y Lácteos 2025, El Florido made a special deal with Smithfield to receive 5 truckloads of pork ribs and 8 of Boston butt. The goal is to offer them at a promotional price for two full months, making them very affordable across their more than 56 store locations. Thanks to the strong success of the promotion, five additional loads of back ribs were confirmed. The promotional prices were set as follows: • Boston butt steak – $2.00 USD/lb • Pork back ribs – $1.80 USD/lb To close out the promotion, we used our Pork Truck as part of the “Sampling & Promotion Program,” starting with 12 activations, then increasing the number to 20. Due to the strong success of the tastings, we ultimately reached a total of 31 activations, all of which concluded this month. This activity is especially important to us because Boston butt steak is a new cut in Baja California, and over 40 metric tons were sold in just one month. Additionally, El Florido’s competitors—who are also our commercial partners—are taking note of the billboards, the success of the promotion, and the Pork Truck activations.
